WHO I AM

An experienced and passionate teacher of performing arts, offering 30+ years of insightful organizational and teaching experience with an expertise in handling children, young adults and professional artists.

I started my career as a professional dancer and choreographer and take pride in being a part of the Indian music scene working closely with high profile artists both nationally and internationally. Have been instrumental in designing dances for individual artists and dancers, dance companies, musical theatre, fashion shows, film, television productions and special events, and for dancers ranging from beginners to professionals.
Proud to be associated with the creative and making of numerous television advertisements and a few Bollywood movies too.

As a speech, dance and drama teacher I have been actively involved in assisting students in exploring their creativity and building interpersonal skills through classroom activities and theatre productions. Utilizing creative, interactive and engaging teaching methods, such as games, role-play, storytelling, hot seating, tableaux and other activities to help students master vocals, dancing, costume and set design, acting and directing.

My prime responsibility is to assist the faculty in developing the curriculum for theatre acting and speech development. One of my greatest passion is for staging musicals and to encourage students to use artistic opportunities to express one's personality through the creation of dance and music. Also responsible for helping students learn the listening and speaking skills essential for public speaking, and for improving their listening and effective communication skills through speech and drama.

As a director, I have been responsible for the practical and creative interpretation of dramatic script and its musical score. Have collaborated with technical crew, costume designers, creative and production teams, performers and producers to create performances which connects with the audience. I possess the ability to develop a clear sense of style for the production with diplomacy and sensitivity when working with writers, producers, actors, and crew members.

Overseen the mounting of 52+ theatrical and musical productions across 20 schools nationally and internationally.
